Fortem Projects Pty LtdTivoli Road is a period home in South Yarra. Fortem Projects was engaged to remove and reinstate existing period features of the historic building at the front of the house, and to create a modern refurbishment which would seamlessly integrate new architectural elements informed by the architectural vision of Bayley Ward.
A complete transformation of external areas also needed to be carried out, including a pool.
Clear communication between Fortem Projects, architects Bayley Ward and our client ensured all potential issues were resolved early in the process.
A use of natural materials including timber and stone provided a sense of balance to the project which helped to both contrast and highlight the home’s existing period features.

The brief from the client was that they wanted a luxurious contemporary/coastal inspired home with a consistent and cohesive theme running through each room. This property has all the luxury any family could wish for with a Home Cinema, Sauna, Gym and a self contained Guest Suite which includes its own fully equipped Kitchen.
Our client had impeccable taste, and with our joint collaboration we were able to deliver a truely remarkable family home.
Kitchen Envy - Custom KitchensBeautifully crafted doors from Farmer's doors. The benchtop is Blue Roma Brazilian Quartzite. This amazing natural stone takes centre stage in this Blue Mountains home. Nature knows no bounds with vibrant colours and unique patterns.

Horizon HomesJack’s Point is Horizon Homes' new display home at the HomeQuest Village in Bella Vista in Sydney.
Inspired by architectural designs seen on a trip to New Zealand, we wanted to create a contemporary home that would sit comfortably in the streetscapes of the established neighbourhoods we regularly build in.
The gable roofline is bold and dramatic, but pairs well if built next to a traditional Australian home.
Throughout the house, the design plays with contemporary and traditional finishes, creating a timeless family home that functions well for the modern family.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious dining, family lounge and kitchen (with butler’s pantry) leading onto a large, undercover alfresco and pool entertainment area. A real feature of the home is the magnificent staircase and screen, which defines a formal lounge area. There’s also a wine room, guest bedroom and, of course, a bathroom, laundry and mudroom.
The display home has a further four family bedrooms upstairs – the primary has a luxurious walk-in robe, en suite bathroom and a private balcony. There’s also a private upper lounge – a perfect place to relax with a book.

Mihaly SlocombeFringe Dweller’s sculpted extension transforms an unassuming weatherboard cottage into a proud forever home. It walks multiple tightropes at once: balancing openness with privacy, strength with softness, and a rich history with our clients’ future needs.
On Clifton Hill’s suburban edge, the house sits opposite the leafy Quarries Park Reserve. Our clients, Ishtar and Craig, have three children and purchased their cottage to create a long-term family home.
Lying within a heritage overlay, the cottage’s traditional layout is largely preserved – only tweaked, in a wise parenting move, to form three equally sized bedrooms. The extension’s shared spaces feature rich materials, a warm palette and curved edges, creating a feeling of softness and easing transitions between zones.
A staircase arcing through the living areas leads up to the lounge and main suite. Elevated above street level, these spaces can more freely relate to the park: the lounge’s attached balcony overlooks the park’s open field, while the main bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling window frames magnificent foliage.
Downstairs, sliding doors connect the living areas to a semi-covered deck, while the garden beyond is embraced by a self-contained studio at the rear and high walls on either side. A brick wall interspersed with permeable screens lines the site’s public edge, balancing backyard privacy with neighbourhood connection. For passers-by, it’s a strong addition to the streetscape, granting glimpses of the lush garden within.

Trends KitchensThis Queenstown home features Trends Kitchens joinery throughout, including all storage, robes, a bar and a coffee station.
The kitchen boasts a spectacular stone benchtop, with battened American Oak to the underside of the curved island. The negative details feature a brass laminate detail to tie in the marble in the stone, alongside the stunning Archant Berkley handles.
Alpha 1 BuildersThis light bright kitchen suits the home perfectly with a stone waterfall island at it's heart. The stone is continued on the backsplash and cover for the rangehood giving a lovely clean wrap around effect. The traditional style shaker cabinetry ties it all into the age of the home beautifully. With the skylights allowing bursts of ligt to come down. The pendant lights are also a thing of beauty adding a softness that ties in so perfectly with the other dressings and the larger version in the dining area.
