Dining room and main hallway. Modern fireplace wall has herringbone tile pattern and custom wood shelving. The main hall has custom wood trusses that bring the feel of the 16' tall ceilings down to earth. The steel dining table is 4' x 10' and was built specially for the space.

A full home renovation that included bringing the home down to almost all studs and vaulting the ceiling in the living room. We build a deck off the living room, completely remodeled the kitchen, dinging room, primary bedroom and bathroom along with creating a library in the loft space upstairs. Built a mini bar, outdoor shower and remodeled the powder bathroom.

Light-filled kitchen eating area with round table and comfortable upholstered chairs

When most couples and families spend a majority of their time in the hub of the home, the kitchen becomes the central design element. Seeking a timeless style, uncluttered functionality, and nod to the white country kitchens of generations past, JEI Design, Shiflet Group Architects, and Reynolds Custom Homes were brought together. The result is a refined farmhouse kitchen, melding white, light, natural wood, and industrial finishes, such as modern refrigerator drawers, antique style double sink and faucets, and custom vintage light fixtures.

We designed the breakfast room with large windows on two sides for a full view of the pool with it’s arched water features. Once again, a colorful focus is achieved with a bright ceiling and arch blending the saltillo colors into the overall room.

The breakfast area focal point is seen from the front door and is captured by a beautiful slab of quartzite hung on the wall as art. The sideboard underneath the slab is intricately designed with inlaid mother of pearl and, when opened, lights up to highlight bottles inside. We used the existing table and moved the neutral upholstered chairs from the dining area. The previously built-in bench area used for reading, is now finished off with custom cushions and large throw pillows for a comfortable rest area.
The dining area is now complete with colorful dining chairs that transition nicely into the large living area. Because our client loved pattern, we decided to use chairs that had a fun but unusual circle pattern on the back panel and play up the color with a fun striped fabric. The table is adorned with a silk floral arrangement and bright green circle hurricanes.
